PLEASE HELPI was wondering what this desk might be worth. It has some damage - one drawer is missing its back and another has a hole in the bottom. The top also has marks and gouges. It says "Wagemaker Co. Grand Rapids, Mich" in the drawer. That company apparently closed in 1960. I bought the desk at a garage sale about 20 years ago. The desk is solid wood and has wooden rails for the drawers and dovetailed joints. There are also 3 grooves in the drawers for holding filing systems. There are 2 drawers on the left and 3 on the right. The bottom drawer on the left appears to be two separate drawers in order to match the right-hand side of the desk, but it is really an extra deep drawer. There is also a center drawer with a wooden plug where a lock would have gone. Each side also has a pull-out writing surface, as well. Submit your estimate of worth |
